No vacancy??

Was the band "No vacancy" from the movie "School of Rock" played by actors in the movie?? I understand that the song was written for the movie by a guy who also wrote music for "velvet Goldmine" but I also found info on an actual band called "No Vacancy". From looking at pics of them on the web,I don't see the same band I saw in the movie. Does anyone have info on this? I'm asking if No vacancy is a real band and are the people in the movie the actual band members or just actors. I loved that song they did and would be open to hearing more music if it were an actual band. Thanks [img]smile.gif[/img]

Haven't seen the movie, but was No Vacancy the band that Black was in? I know all the kids played their own stuff, and when you hear the kids playing, it is really the kids playing. Not sure about Black though, but I would say he did do all of his own playing.
